revive is a configurable Go linter and a replacement for golint. It
provides configurable rules, multiple output formats, and optional type
checking.
Building requires google-go-lang (Go 1.26 or newer). The SlackBuild uses
the supplied vendor archive for offline compilation. Go is also useful
at runtime for package loading and type information when linting Go
projects.
Run "revive ./..." from a Go project. Add -set_exit_status to return a
failure status when issues are found. Select a configuration with
"revive -config path/to/revive.toml ./...". Otherwise, revive checks
$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/revive.toml and $HOME/revive.toml before using
defaults.
Rule documentation and example configurations are installed under
/usr/doc/revive-<version>/. No user configuration is installed globally.
